As much as this blog is meant to not meant to be just about the environment, it is a topic I’ve been involved in for over 20 years, and we still haven’t saved the earth, so I’ll just keep on trying.
So if you do just one thing today, make it this: sign the Avaaz petition to support clean energy and renewables.
Why?
- Because climate change affects people and jobs, too, not just the earth. Green business is the only sector growing in the UK, by 4.7% during 2010-11, providing an extra £5.4bn of economic activity.
- And, because, like with the Greenpeace petition if we all come together we can be a powerful force for change
